The Frank Lloyd Wright Home & Studio was started in 1889. The house was modified with the addition of a playroom in 1893 and the adjacent studio in 1898.

All decked out for the holidays is the Chauncey Williams House located in River Forest, Illinois.
This house was built in 1895 at a time when Frank Lloyd Wright was experimenting with new ideas.

Located across the street from the Heurtley House on Forest Avenue is the Hills-DeCaro House. This is a remodeling job done by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1906 and has many Prairie Style traits, stucco exterior, horizontal banding and
large overhanging eaves. The Japanese influenced roof line was popular with Wright at the time.

The Arthur Heurtley House was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1902. The home is located on Forest Avenue in Oak Park, Illinois just down the block from Wright's home & studio.

The George W. Smith house was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in Oak Park, Illinois in 1898.
Not a Prairie Style home it does show some of the influences with the large overhanging eaves. It has a shingle exterior and a Japanese influenced roof line.

Day 2 brings us the Joseph Jacob Walser, Jr. house built in 1903. This house is located in Chicago's Austin neighborhood and shows many traits of the mature Prairie Style.

Just for fun I have been taking some photo's of Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes after the recent snow.

For day #1 here is the William Winslow House located in River Forest, Illinois. The house was designed by Wright and built in 1893 and shows some early traits of the Prairie Style.
